adam lion - en route to a business meeting
this is weird, admittedly. willy shakes (front right) used to run a webzine called "popshack", which was surprisingly popular in certain niche areas (like england, oddly enough). these dudes from some boston business school were interesting in starting a webzine (although they'd probably call it a portal or some shit) so they contacted us. we wrote weird local reviews and articles for them, in exchange for what, i'm still not sure. in this picture we are seriously going to a business meeting.

i guess the really weird thing about it was how much their webpage sucked. they said they put a lot of time and energy into it, but it was just poorly designed and it wasn't a good idea to begin with. it was funny for us- they made us sign nondisclosure agreements. but also, they bought us lunch a couple times. in the beginning they looked all smooth and euro, then towards the end they just looked really haggard. sad magazine.
